The Best Mouth-Watering Bacon-Wrapped Tater Tots

Mouth-Watering Bacon-wrapped tater tots what an amazing idea. Combine two breakfast foods to create a snack that is accessible at any time and that everyone will enjoy. I was looking for a recipe I had made a few years ago and everyone liked it. Bacon-wrapped Asparagus.

It was really good and since I had the opportunity to make an appetizer for our Wine and Dine show, I thought this would be perfect. The problem was I could not find the recipe. So I had to come up with an alternate quickly. I was looking through different recipe sites and found this one on the Damn Delicious website. I made a few changes to it, though. So here is my version of the Damn Delicious recipe.

Bacon-wrapped tater tots

Bacon-wrapped tater tots
  • 4 slices Bacon cut into 4 equal-sized pieces
  • 16 mini tater tots, thawed to room temperature
  • 1 block of sharp cheddar cheese cut into 1/4 inch strips
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Directions for the Best Bacon-wrapped tater tots

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper a silicone mat or aluminum foil
  • If you use aluminum foil, spray with cooking spray
  • Wrap each Tater Tot and cheese strip in a bacon piece.
  • Dredge each bacon-wrapped tater tot in the brown sugar, coating all around
  • Place on baking sheet with the seam side down
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes; turn over at 10 minutes
  • Serve immediately; garnish with parsley if desired.

I made two batches of bacon-wrapped tater tots. The first I baked for 25 minutes, and the second I baked for 20 minutes. The second batch was better. The first ones were a little overdone. Also, remove them from the baking sheet as soon as you remove them from the oven.
