I always look for an easy cookie recipe to add to my Christmas cookie page. When I stumbled on this recipe on the Taste of Home page, I knew I had to add it. These are so easy and so good. You have to try them. What is better than chocolate and Cool Whip?
These are just four-ingredient cookies, so it is an easy cookie recipe!!
Ingredients

- 1 package (15-1/4 ounces) chocolate cake mix; choose any brand you like
- 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen cool whipped topping, thawed
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
Directions for easy cookie recipe
- In a large bowl, beat cake mix, whipped topping, and egg at medium speed until incorporated. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°. Place confectioners’ sugar in a shallow dish. Shape level tablespoons of dough into balls; roll each in confectioners’ sugar until completely coated. Place 2-in. apart on parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Bake until edges are just set, 11-13 minutes. Cool on pans for 5 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
I hope you enjoy making these cookies as much as I did. They were not only easy and fun to

make, but they tasted great!! I will definitely add these to my cookie-baking list for our annual cookie-baking day! The day each year, my daughters, granddaughters, granddaughters-in-law, and great-grandchildren get together to bake cookies for our family. It is such a fun day that I look forward to every year. It is a day that memories are made just by spending time with some of my favorite people.
