Writer’s Block, Can I Overcome It?

Writer’s block? I have been suffering from writer’s block.  Not good when you are writing a blog or a book or an article.  But how do you overcome writer’s block? Here are a few suggestions I found on the internet. Not sure if they are going to work but maybe by the end of this article I’ll be able to answer that question.

How Do You Overcome Writer’s Block

Someone suggested trying brainstorming. I have heard that term a lot but was never sure what it meant until now. Brainstorming seems to be making a list of ideas for your article and jotting down all the key points you want to cover.

Another suggestion was to look for inspiration. Look for inspiration? Talk about a current situation or talk about how you are feeling about a certain topic or maybe a certain point in your life. Talk about random topics or maybe things in your surroundings that could help you juice up your creativity. Also, listening to your favorite music could also spark some inspiration. Maybe make you remember something from your past you could write about.

Make a Plan

All good stories need a beginning a middle and a dynamic ending. So, make a plan. Decide how you are going to structure your article or story. Once you break the writer’s block the words should start to flow. Having a plan will help immensely.

Be Prepared

It’s a good idea to be prepared when an idea strikes you. I have pads of paper and pens in all the rooms in my home. In the kitchen, by the chair, I sit in most in the family room, on my bedside table and yes even in the bathroom. I had a great idea while in the shower the other day and had to run to the office to write it down so I would not forget it. My husband sitting there just shook his head.

Avoid Stress

When you are suffering from Writer’s Block, don’t stress over it. That will just prolong the issue. You want to relax and let your mind be open to suggestions. Let the words flow freely. Get your creative juices flowing freely.

Take Frequent Breaks to Avoid Writer’s Block

Relax and take frequent breaks. Take a walk, drink some water. Revitalize your mind to keep the flow of creative juices flowing. You want to be able to continue to develop your story-lines.

Use Available Tools:

Recently there have been a lot of tools released to help create articles and blog posts and just about any other written page you can imagine. Most of these tools offer free versions to use to try them out. Here are a couple that I have found helpful. ChatGPT is an AI tool that if you enter the correct parameters, you can get a very good article in just a few seconds. Small tools Plagiarism Checker is another tool that helps you to write better articles to be sure it is unique and not Plagiarized. And lastly is Copyleaks.com This is a must to use if you are using ChatGPT. This program will tell you if your content is AI-written or human speak. Try them out using the free versions and see how you like them.

In Conclusion

To summarize, as a writer, the more you write, the more you will avoid writer’s block and the more easily you will be able to continue to create interesting articles for your blog.
