December 18 Saltine Toffee Cookies

Saltine Toffee Cookies for December 18th. This recipe really had me curious. I could not imagine Saltine Crackers being used in a cookie recipe. But, this cookie is crunchy, buttery, and somewhat addicting. You will find a delicious combination of sweet and salty. I love that combination. I always dump a box of Junior Mints in my popcorn when I go to the movies so I get that flavor combination; sweet and salty.

Saltine cracker toffee recipes overtake my Pinterest and Facebook feed every holiday season but I never understood what the craze was all about. I mean, what’s so special about something made with saltine crackers? You can cut the cookie slab into neat squares with a knife while it’s still warm or break into random shapes with your hands when it has cooled and hardened. Any way you take a crack at it, this Christmas crack is bound to be your holiday addiction!

If you make this recipe let me know what you think. The combination of sweet and salty is a winning combination. I love toffee in any form or recipe. So I think this recipe is going to become one of my favorites. Besides being so good it is also very easy and quick to make. I have had Saltine Toffee Cookies in the past but have never made it myself. I have read that it is also called Christmas Crack and I can understand why!! Do you remember the commercials that used to say ‘You can’t eat one’? That would definitely pertain to this cookie.
