What You Need

seven layer cookie bar
  • 1 stick butter 1/2 cup
  • One 14 oz Can Of Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 & 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • And 1 cup Holiday or regular chocolate chips divided into 1/2 cup portions
  • 1 cup chopped nuts I prefer walnuts
  • 2 cups miniature Marshmallows
  • 1 cup Holiday or regular M&M’s divided into 1/2 cup portions
  • 1 & 1/2 cups flaked coconut
  • ½ Cup chopped up Candy Canes
  • ¼ Cup red and green sprinkles

PreHeat The Oven

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Unwrap the butter and place it in a 13 x 9 pan and let it melt in the pan while the oven preheats.

Take the pan out of the oven as soon as the butter is melted

Crush the graham crackers to make graham cracker crumbs for the crust (or buy graham cracker crumbs)

When the butter is melted, remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the graham crackers over the butter evenly and press into the pan for the bottom layer or crust

Next, pour the sweetened condensed milk over the crumb layer

The next layer is 1/2 of the chocolate chips, 1/2 of the M&M/s 1/2 of the candy canes and 1 cup of the marshmallows and the nuts poured evenly over the sweetened condensed milk layer.

Sprinkle coconut on top of this layer.

Layer the rest of the remaining chocolate chips and M&M’s

Bake the Seven Layer Cookie bars

Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

Remove from the oven

Allow bars to cool completely, slice, and enjoy

Conclusion:

Ok, this is one that I think you could really use your imagination with. Instead of chocolate chips how about butterscotch chips? Or maybe even in addition to? You could even use Reese’s pieces, rainbow-colored marshmallows, milk, or dark chocolate chips. So many variations. This is a recipe that could be different every time you make it. OOH how about adding some chopped-up York Peppermint Patties??? I am definitely making this one again.
